support good labels
these are some my favorite active french labels who reissue classic and obscure french bands and showcase new talent. they also helped me fill my french record collection for much fuckin cheaper than collector price buillshit. they won't all be around forever, so go support them.
Euthanasie Records
- by far my personal favorite, popular to obscure - what Captain Oi! was to 80's british oi and uk82. Euthanasie reissued most of the Chaos Productions catalogue. Plus, it's not just a record label but also a supporter of underground french music and culture; check out the french rock and punk/oi discographies (with some music samples).
catalogue samples: Camera Silens, Kidnap, Reich Orgasm, Brainwash, RAS, Komintern Sect, RAFF, L'Infanterie Sauvage, Wunderbach, Mopo Mogo, Kromosom 4, Traces, Survet Skins + more.
Bords De Seine (BDS records)
- dedicated to oi, old to new. BDS showcases a large french and international oi catalogue and also a consistent distro with some good shit in it... if you keep your eyes open.
catalogue samples: Tolbiac's Toads, Snix, Skinkorps, Bootboys, Oïskank, Taxi Driver, the Veros, West Side Boys, Sales Bastard Fuckin Crew, Bombardiers, Haircut, Les Poches, Crâne De Fer, Sans Sursis + more.
Un Vie Pour Rien ? (UVPR Vinyles)
- a solid and varied label (also zines/comps) with fresh bands in recent years and some 80's reissues/collections.
catalogue samples: Swingo Porkies, RAS, L'Infanterie Sauvage, Bombardiers, HardxTimes, the Daltonz, the Janitors, Maraboots, Lion's Law + more.
over time i may get around to some other labels
